From Industrial Operations to an Investment Perspective: SZSE Fund Department and E Fund Visit Zangge Mining

On August 20, 2026, Zangge Mining Company Limited hosted a session of the “Investors Visit Listed Constituent Companies” series organized by the Fund Department of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE). A 19-member delegation comprising representatives from the SZSE Fund Department, E Fund, and investors visited Golmud, Qinghai Province, where they toured the exhibition hall at the Company’s headquarters and the production base of Zangge Lithium, followed by an in-depth discussion with the Company’s management.

The visit focused on key issues of investor interest, including the Company’s industrial footprint, operating progress, and shareholder returns. Participants also exchanged views on prevailing market trends and ETF investment frameworks.

On-Site Visit: From the Exhibition Hall to Frontline Operations, Seeing the Industrial Foundation Behind the Financials

On the morning of August 20, the delegation visited the Company’s exhibition hall. Through a systematic presentation of the Company’s development history, industrial footprint, and core products, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of Zangge Mining’s evolution from a single-business potash fertilizer producer into a diversified mining group with operations spanning potash, lithium, and copper.

The delegation then proceeded to the production base of Zangge Lithium. Located in the Qarhan Salt Lake mining area, Zangge Lithium produces lithium carbonate by leveraging the abundant potash deposits and brine resources of Qarhan Salt Lake. At the production workshops, the delegation observed the complete production process from brine adsorption and nanofiltration through to the production of battery-grade lithium carbonate.

According to Liu Mingyang, Chief Engineer of Zangge Lithium, the Company’s independently developed “one-step process for producing battery-grade lithium carbonate from ultra-low-concentration lithium-bearing brine” incorporates a series of key core technologies, including continuous adsorption, membrane filtration, and impurity removal. The on-site visit provided investors with a more direct understanding of the Company’s resource endowment, technological pathways, and production processes.

Discussion Session: From Operating Data to Key Projects, Understanding the Drivers Behind Performance Growth

At the discussion session, Li Ruixue, Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Company, briefed investors on the Company’s operating performance for the first half of 2026. During the period, Zangge Mining recorded operating revenue of RMB 2.065 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.05%, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of RMB 3.638 billion, up 102.09% year on year. The potash, lithium, and copper resource segments continued to generate synergies, further improving the quality and efficiency of the Company’s operations.

Building on their understanding of the Company’s current operating performance, investors also focused on projects expected to contribute incremental growth. To date, the Mamicuo Salt Lake project has completed integrated commissioning and obtained approval for trial production, meeting the conditions required to commence trial operations. Mamicuo Mining has accordingly organized trial production in a timely manner. Following the successful commissioning of Phase II of the Julong Copper Mine, its profitability has further strengthened. The Julong Copper Mine is the copper mine with the largest registered resource volume in China, with cumulative identified copper resources of 25.88 million tonnes.

Meanwhile, the Vientiane potash project in Laos is planned to develop annual production capacity of 2 million tonnes of potassium chloride and was included within the scope of support set out in the China-Laos Joint Statement issued in June 2026. In addition, the Longmucuo project, with planned annual lithium carbonate capacity of 70,000 tonnes, has obtained environmental impact assessment approval, while the environmental impact assessment process for the Jieze Chaka Salt Lake project is also progressing in an orderly manner.

Interactive Exchange: Maintaining Regular Dividend Distributions and Sharing Development with Shareholders

During the interactive discussion session, investors held in-depth exchanges with the Company’s management on topics including dividend policy, production capacity planning, and industry prospects.

The Company’s management stated that, for the 2026 interim dividend, the Company plans to distribute a cash dividend of RMB 10 for every 10 shares held, inclusive of tax. The total cash dividend is expected to amount to approximately RMB 1.564 billion, representing around 43% of net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company for the period. From 2023 through the first half of 2026, the Company distributed cumulative cash dividends of RMB 8.403 billion, with an average dividend payout ratio of 62.3% during the period, ranking among the highest in the industry. During the reporting period, the Company also repurchased a total of 5.0256 million shares for approximately RMB 400 million.

For investors, how a company translates its operating results into shareholder returns is an important dimension in assessing the long-term value of a listed company. The in-depth discussion on dividends, share repurchases, and related topics also enabled investors to gain a better understanding of the Company’s approach to balancing business development with shareholder returns.

Looking ahead to the next stage of development, the Company’s management stated that Zangge Mining will continue to follow the overall approach of “improving quality, increasing output, controlling costs, and enhancing efficiency,” while developing a business structure featuring a strong domestic core and coordinated overseas expansion. The Company will continue to advance its potash, lithium, and copper businesses, further strengthening the foundation for long-term operations and sustainable shareholder returns.

Professional Insights: Extending the Investment Perspective from Corporate Fundamentals to Market Styles

While focusing on Zangge Mining’s operating fundamentals, project progress, and shareholder returns, the event also extended the discussion to broader market trends.

During the discussion, Yang Zhengwang, Index Fund Manager at E Fund, shared his observations on the sources of returns from equity assets and prevailing market styles in light of the current market environment. He noted that the divergence between growth and value styles remains relatively pronounced, with each driven by different sources of return and market conditions. Growth investing places greater emphasis on industry trends and corporate earnings growth, while value investing is more closely associated with characteristics such as lower valuations, stronger cash flows, and shareholder returns.

Yang highlighted two style-based investment tools: the CNI Value 100 Index and the CNI Growth 100 Index. He explained that the two indices have distinct characteristics in terms of return drivers and sector exposure. Rebalancing between value and growth styles can provide diversification benefits, reduce reliance on timing a single investment style, and help investors capture market opportunities from multiple dimensions, including earnings growth, valuation recovery, and dividend returns.

Beginning with a company’s frontline operations and business fundamentals and then extending the perspective to the broader market environment, the event further demonstrated the broader value of investor education: helping investors not only gain closer insights into listed companies, but also develop a more diversified framework for understanding and assessing the market.

This research visit was an important part of the “Investors Visit Listed Constituent Companies” series organized by the Fund Department of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. As an important constituent company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Zangge Mining has maintained a long-term presence across resource sectors including potash, lithium, and copper. Through a combination of exhibition hall visits, on-site tours of production facilities, and discussion sessions, investors gained a deeper understanding of the Company’s actual production and operating conditions as well as its strategic development plans, effectively promoting constructive interaction between the capital market and the real economy.

Li Ruixue, Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Company, stated: “We welcome the Fund Department of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and all participating investors to Zangge Mining. The Company has always maintained open and transparent communication with the capital market. Going forward, we will continue to deepen the comprehensive development of salt lake resources and reward investors’ trust through strong operating performance.”

Going forward, Zangge Mining will continue to enhance communication and engagement with the capital market, enabling investors to gain a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Company’s operations and development.
