Zangge Potash Labor Union Organizes Labor Skills Competition to Celebrate International Workers’ Day
To implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the development of skilled talent, vigorously promote the spirit of model workers and craftsmanship, and fully leverage the key role of skills competitions in talent development, the Labor Union of Zangge Potash successfully organized a labor skills competition around International Workers’ Day under the theme “Building Cohesion through Labor Competition and Promoting Development through Skills Enhancement.” More than 400 employees from the Company’s departments and production workshops participated in the competition, demonstrating their skills and professional capabilities.
The competition was closely aligned with the core business of potash production and the practical skill requirements of different positions. It featured 12 competition events, including direct flotation for potash production, volumetric determination of KCl content, finished product analysis, locomotive operation, fitter skills, electrician skills, and culinary skills. The events covered key roles in production operations, analytical testing, equipment maintenance, and logistical services, achieving broad coverage of core business processes and key skill areas.
Participants demonstrated strong morale and strictly followed operating procedures and safety requirements, showcasing their professional competence through solid technical skills. The judging panel upheld the principles of fairness, impartiality, and transparency, conducted rigorous evaluations, provided on-site comments on key operational points, and identified areas for improvement. By strengthening safety operation awareness during the competition, the event encouraged participants to learn from one another and make collective progress, effectively fulfilling its purpose of promoting learning, training, and improvement through competition.
After intense competition, four teams stood out: Section 3 of Workshop 1, Section 1 of Workshop 8, Section 3 of the Drying Workshop, and Section 2 of the Salt Washing Workshop, along with 45 individual participants. The Company’s labor union presented certificates of honor and awards to the winning teams and individuals.
In the new era, skills reflect responsibility and commitment. This skills competition served not only as a comprehensive review of employees’ professional capabilities, but also as a meaningful practice by the labor union in supporting employee development and strengthening collective momentum for growth.
The competition effectively inspired employees to learn diligently, sharpen their skills, and make contributions in their respective positions. It also fostered a strong internal atmosphere of learning from one another, striving for excellence, and pursuing first-class performance, contributing the strength of the labor union to the Company’s high-quality development.
