Zangge Potash Launches Its First Talent Program to Develop a Pipeline of High-Potential Backbone Talent
On May 14, the opening ceremony of Zangge Potash’s “Talent Program” was successfully held, marking a new stage in the Company’s development of its reserve leadership and talent pipeline. The program is designed to build a professional backbone team covering the full process of potash mining, beneficiation and refining, reserve high-caliber management and technical talent, and cultivate future candidates capable of taking on department-level management positions, thereby strengthening the talent foundation for the Company’s long-term, high-quality development.
The internal selection process for the first “Talent Program” followed the principles of fairness, impartiality and merit-based selection. Candidates were assessed through multiple rounds of written tests and interviews, with a comprehensive evaluation of their professional capabilities, overall competence and development potential. Following a rigorous selection process, 29 outstanding young employees were selected from 76 applicants as the first cohort of participants and entered the dedicated training stage.

At the opening ceremony, Li Jianchang, Chairman and General Manager of Zangge Potash, delivered remarks. He noted that the Talent Program is an important development platform established by the Company for outstanding employees and carries significance in four key areas. First, it helps open up career advancement channels. With the goal of cultivating department-level management talent, outstanding participants will be prioritized for inclusion in the reserve leadership pool and considered for targeted promotion. Second, it strengthens practical training by arranging participants to rotate through core departments and take part in key projects, enabling them to enhance their overall capabilities through hands-on experience. Third, it gives priority to selecting participants for major projects such as the Mamicuo Salt Lake development and the Laos potash project, supporting their rapid growth in key positions. Fourth, it establishes a dynamic and cyclical talent development mechanism to support participants in achieving higher-level career development and further realizing their talent value.
Li Jianchang encouraged all participants to value the opportunity, take the initiative to learn, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility. He urged them to grow into versatile backbone talent with solid technical expertise, strong management capabilities, and the ability to take on responsibilities. He also encouraged them to draw on the strengths of both Zijin and Zangge cultures, integrate personal growth into the Company’s development, and achieve strong alignment between individual value and corporate value.

Chen Jianguo, Assistant to the General Manager, provided a detailed explanation of the Talent Program’s development plan, curriculum structure, job rotation arrangements, phased assessment, and completion-based appointment mechanism. He also clarified the management requirements and development pathway throughout the training process. Zhang Chunhua, Head of the Transportation Department and representative of the mentors, drew on his own management experience and put forward four expectations for the participants: to shift their mindset, remain committed to diligent learning and practical application, strictly follow rules and procedures, and value the development platform, with the goal of growing into key contributors to the Company as soon as possible.
Ana from the Quality Management Department, speaking as the participant representative, expressed gratitude to the Company for providing the learning opportunity. On behalf of all participants, she made a solemn commitment to maintain an open and learning-oriented mindset, study diligently, think deeply, observe discipline, and apply what they learn in practice. She stated that the participants would repay the Company’s support with solid capabilities and practical commitment, contributing their youthful energy to the Company’s development from their respective positions.

At the end of the ceremony, Company leaders, mentors, and all participants took a group photo. The first Talent Program has officially begun, and all participants will take this as a new starting point to continuously strengthen themselves through learning and practice. They will contribute fresh energy and insight as the Company continues to deepen its focus on the potash business and pursue high-quality development.
